Uniwisp Comrades Long Run 2025

All Comrades athletes are invited to join Uniwisp Running Club for a long run event, perfectly timed 5 weeks before the Comrades Marathon! This will be the ultimate Comrades preparation run, giving runners an opportunity to test their Comrades fueling, gear, and nutrition.

Event Details:

• Date: May 1, 2025 (Workers’ Day)

• Venue: Nelspruit Rugby Club

• Start Time: 6:00 AM

• Registration: FREE via (www.entrygeek.co.za)

Distance: 50Km and 60km (Long Run, starting at 6:00 AM)

Route: The route will take you through scenic roads, including Sabie Road (R37), Heidel Eggs Road, Sabie Whiteriver Road (R537), Whiteriver to Nelspruit (R40), Riverside and Matsafeni Ring Road.

“Note: 50Km Finish Elawini Bridge (Shuttle will take athletes to Nelspruit Rugby Club”

Waterpoints and Support: Enjoy fully stocked refreshment stations every 3km. All runners will receive a race bib.

Pace Setter: Thumelo Kgwete

• This event is not timed, and there are no prizes or medals.

• It’s a training run designed to help you prepare for the Comrades Marathon.

• Register for the Uniwisp Urban Challenge 10km or 21km on May 3, 2025, and receive a complimentary Long Run T-Shirt, a boerewors roll or hamburger, and your favorite beverage after the run!

• Emergency and Medical services on standby

• Sweeper Vehicle

• Transport for 50Km from Elawini Bridge

• A cash bar will also be available for the thirstier runners.
